Welcome to Restoring Balance Consulting RAISING AWARENESS OF POST-TRAUMATIC STRESS DISORDER Indigenous Owned & Operated Established 2007

Educational Online Seminars

Restoring Balance Consulting provides educational online seminars and onsite workshops. The traumatic impact of the residential school, day school and 60’s scoop is clearly visible inIndigenous, First Nations, Inuit and Metis communities and urban centres. If trauma is the underlying cause of todays social problems, it is important to have all community workers, managers, supervisors and caregivers to become educated in understanding trauma and its impact to the mind, body, spirit, and community. And have practical exercises to assist the community members who have experienced trauma. Trauma is an impact to the mind, body and spirit, understanding the impact to the brain structure, muscles, organs, hormones and emotion, and having workable trauma healing exercises, is critical for community workers to better support their community members who are on their journey to healing trauma.

Trauma Informed Care Training

Restoring Balance Consulting offers Trauma Informed Care Training to community workers. This 1-day Trauma Informed Care training is an important training for community workers to understand trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, healing and self care exercises, and communication skills. If your Indigenous, First Nation, Inuit or Metis community, organization or agency, works with survivors of trauma, this training is important to enhance the workers skills in working with trauma survivors.

Trauma Resources

Restoring Balance Consulting provides the necessary resources needed to assist Indigenous, First Nations, Inuit, and Metis communities in educating community workers, caregivers, and community members, to better understand trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder, healing, and communication skills.
